June results + July goals

I think this is the lowest volume of hands in a single month that I’ve played this year, partly because I just started school this month. Next month is going to be even worse because that’s when all my projects are going to be due; plus, I’m going to be volunteering for an entire week for bible study camp. It’ll be amazing if I can get in around 15k hands next month.

Played from 200NL to 1000NL, but mostly 400NL

Goals for July:

Personal goals:

- wake up at 9am daily
- eat super healthy
- exercise daily
- no eating at least 2hours before sleeping
- keep up with bible readings
- improve on golf swing
- study at least 4hours a day

Poker goals:

- watch at least 4 instructional videos a week
- play at least 2hours of poker a day
- minimize tilt
- table select at 1000NL
- play more heads up
- start playing live
- start playing PLO

cakepoker is dying =(

Since my last post, I've pretty much been playing at 5/10NL every chance i got, but too bad tables usually don't run at cakepoker. i'm 99% sure that i'm moving some of my bankroll to pokerstars by the end of summer.

anyway, here's the result of my afternoon session today.

bluffing

- bluffing is best done in the beginning of the session to establish a super loose aggressive image

- bluffs can be cheap if you make them look like value bets

- should rarely bluff in games below 100NL because people don't fold

- bluffing is mandatory in 600NL and up because players are smarter/will not stack-off if they know you are a nit and only play hands for value

- and most importantly- bluffing is super fun: it creates a fun dynamic at the tables so you wont get bored of playing.
